Dungeons and Dragons could be a great way to pass the time while everyone’s quarantined. Many places around the world are locked down to reduce the coronavirus’ spread. So, social games like Dungeons and Dragons could be quite helpful for people to kill their boredom.
D&D Online For Free
There are quite a few ways you may be able to do that as well. For one, there’s the officially Dungeons & Dragons Online game. It’s been out since 2006 on Steam, but what changed recently is the fact that it’s now free to play. This offer is only going to be applicable until April 30, 2020, but that’s still plenty of time to enjoy the game’s official online release.
Developer Standing Stone made this announcement on their website. Their post reads as follows: “Here at Standing Stone Games our goal is to bring joy to everyone through our games and we feel that is more important than ever. We are making all our adventures and stories open to everyone through April 30. In addition we will be running extra events for the games.”
All The Content And Bonus Events
The free content includes everything that they’ve ever released for Dungeons & Dragons Online. This includes all the dungeons and raids in the base game, as well as all the DLC content that has come out since then.
They also announced numerous events that they will be organizing throughout this period. There will be a Mimic event from March 26, 2020, to April 6 2020, as well as an anniversary event from March 26, 2020, to April 30, 2020. Standing Stone also announced that their other RPG, Lord Of The Rings Online will also be free.

However, if you don’t want to go down that route, there are other options at your disposal. Dungeons and Dragons is a simple game. You simply need a guide book, pen and paper to write down your stats, a twenty-sided die and a group of friends to play it with. You can simply play the game over an online video-conference.
The twenty-sided die and the guide books may be tough to come by, though. In that case, you can make use of free websites such as Roll20. Simply create a free account on the website and you’ll get everything you could need, even a virtual tabletop.
So, if the quarantine is boring you out of your mind, maybe this will help you escape it for a little bit.
