Countries under lockdown
Several countries of the world have imposed mandatory lockdown measures, while some countries have issued to stay-at-home recommendations to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus all over the world. As this pandemic spreads through human contact more this will help in stopping the spread of the virus all over the country.
Increasing Terror of COVID-19
The coronavirus or COVID-19 is currently affecting 195 countries and territories around the world. The total number of cases is 375,035, and the number of deaths has reached 16,359 while around 101,554 have recovered from the virus across the world on Monday.
Breaking The Chain
Around 1.7 billion people have been asked and advised to stay at home in over 50 countries around the world as governments fighting the coronavirus pandemic which is spreading globally.
This step was mandatory to break the chain of spreading the COVID-19 or Coronavirus globally on a large scale.
Global Situation COVID-19
Other countries like France, Italy, Argentina, the USA, Iraq has also enforced lockdowns. About four countries of around 228 million people including Iran, Germany, and Britain have requested its population to stay indoors.
As much as they can and maintain social distancing as much as possible. But the impact of these recommendations has been limited in stopping the spread of COVID-19.
Lockdown in India
Due to the increase in the number of cases in India, the country has gone into a complete lockdown for 21 days.
The restrictions came into play from midnight.
As instructed by the prime minister people are being asked to restrict their movements without any genuine reasons.
He also requested to the people not to panic, but the crowds quickly went to the stores in the capital, Delhi, and other cities to collect the essentials due to the lockdown.

WHO Country Office for India Support
The country office of WHO India has been closely working with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) from the beginning of the outbreak of the virus in India to take measures for COVID-19 including health surveillance, researches, laboratory tests, isolation, and risk communications and tracking of commuters and travelers.
” The decision of the Prime minister for social distancing has received whole community support all over the country. It is vital that we come together in solidarity and help in breaking the chain of transmission of this deadly virus in our country as well as globally,” says Dr. Henk Bekedam, WHO Representative to India.
